Why "Liberty Tree" Advisors

Our offices are located in Acton's Liberty Tree House, so named for an American Elm that stood in the southwest corner of the yard from the early 1700s until about 1925. Like other Liberty Trees around Boston, Acton's was a rallying point for the local Minutemen in revolutionary times. In 1915, the school children of Acton planted a Norway Maple on the north side of the house. With World War I in mind, they called it the Peace Tree. Keeping up with tradition, we planted the London Plane Tree seen in this picture near the spot of the original Liberty Tree. It was planted during the same week that Apartheid was ended in South Africa, and we call it the Freedom Tree.
